I use engineering principles in my investment analysis and decisions and many of my readers on SeekingAlpha and Twitter enjoy my articles. I have been actively managing my low-volatility portfolio since 2016. Friends and family joined my portfolio in 2018 and have been enjoying conservative, yet market-beating returns over the last ~5 years.
About the Author
I studied electrical engineering between 2011 and 2017. At the university, I worked in engineering institutes and actively participated in the startup ecosystem. Starting in 2016, I moved to Silicon Valley where I worked as an engineer in the semiconductor industry in the field of design and characterization.
My mentor in Silicon Valley taught me a lot about business development and analysis, I fell in love with the business and finance side of things and deployed my skills in the stock market. I focus on long-term and income-generating investments. Occasionally, I use options to hedge or start positions.
Model Portfolios
I have two model portfolio that I make freely available to my readers.
First, my low-volatility portfolio, which is focused on low-risk and adequate returns in any market environment. This one is focused on cash flow, is globally diversified and is rebalanced depending on the market environment. It’s currently tilting towards value stocks and less towards growth and riskier investments.
My second freely available portfolio is called high-volatility and high risk portfolio. This one is a focused high-growth focused portfolio, limited to 10 positioned that have long-term tailwinds working for them. But this portfolio will be prone to much more fluctuation depending on interest rates and much more.
